On April 14, 2007, NDBA joined forces with the City of Needles and concerned citizens to re-paint the rest of the red curbs downtown. |

Downtown Needles Rejuvenation Strategy The NDBA is initiating a coordinated effort to develop a downtown rejuvenation plan. We are working on a grass-roots document with other civic groups and city officials to develop a detailed implementable plan that will serve as a springboard for an updated general plan. It will address current conditions and desired outcomes, including traffic, parking, historical preservation, cultural aspects, business environment, architecture and themes, vegetation, pedestrian needs, ADA compliance projects, tourism, and an inventory of current resources and assets.

Paint the Town Red!
On March 3, 2007, about a dozen motivated citizens of Needles and the NDBA joined forced with the City of Needles to re-paint the red curbs downtown. The City provided the paint and everybody else brought a brush. We got about half way done but ran out of paint! So, . . . . . . . . . |

SÕlar Flair on the 66! Like, Wowsville, Man!! If there is one thing Needles has, it’s plenty o’ sunshine. The NDBA is planning an event for late March 2009 that will promote green energy. Solar energy for residential and broadscale applications, wind energy, green vehicles, and more. This event will be held in conjunction with the Hot Rocks and Rods, with a 50’s-60’s theme for cars, music and fun. For information on how you can participate in this event, please contact Rodney at <rodneym@frontiernet.net>. |
