Who We Are . . .

We have been in existence since October 2006 and have accomplished quite a lot:

· Met with the County Supervisor and his staff to discuss issues important to Needles.  Invited them out to Needles and they accepted.

 

· Acquired 2 Route 66 stencils for our community.  Worked with the City to get them painted on our streets.

 

· Hosted an Economic Development summit in Needles where the County Supervisor’s office paid for a bus tour of the Tri-state area, food, and consultants to help Needles find its path.  A follow-up meeting is pending.

· Formed the Needles Historic Committee which is identifying and helping to restore historic buildings in downtown Needles.

· Created a Web site (www.needlesdba.com) to market Needles downtown to the world.

· Held a “Customer Appreciation Picnic” to show our customers how much we appreciate their patronage.

· Hosted the Rodeo Picnic in the Park.

· Had several articles about Needles downtown appear in the Route 66 Pulse.

· Welcomed the Great All-American Road Show with an event in Santa Fe Park.

· “Paint the Town Red” Teamed up with the City to paint the curbs on Broadway and Front Street bright red.
